The Nautica South Beach Triathlon Anxiously Awaits Its 4th Appearance!

WHO:
Athletes who favor the sun, surf, and sizzle of South Beach are heading down to for the 4th annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon! Motivated athletes from around the world join together along with celebrities, corporate teams, paratriathletes, and professional triathletes to test their skills in the warm Atlantic Ocean and streets of South Beach. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with over $175,000 raised last year!

WHAT:
Some trepidation, but surely excitement, will fill over 2,600 athletes as they gather before dawn on the white-sand beaches ready to take the plunge in the Atlantic Ocean. The International Race will kick things off with a 1.5K ocean swim, a 40k bike over Miami Beach’s causeways, and conclude with a 10K run alongside Miami Beach’s famous Art Deco District. The Classic Distance race will follow when athletes hit the beach for a half-mile ocean swim, 19 mile bike, and 4 mile out-and-back run.
